Today we want to share with you the news of one of our branches. The Karaganda regional branch of the Red Crescent of Kazakhstan within the framework of the QOLDA emergency assistance project of the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia in partnership with Chevron continues to work on the training of volunteers in the region.

In the Shetsky district-p. Aksu-Ayuly, Shopa village, Kyzyl – Koi village, Nurataldy village, Burma village with the support of the Emergency Department, the youth Resource center of the Shet district and the agrotechnical college of Aksu-Ayuly village, volunteers were trained to prepare for responding to emergencies and natural disasters.

During the training, mobile teams of volunteers gained knowledge of working with the population to assess potential threats, made risk maps for the territories where they live. Trained volunteers determine the role and place of a resident during an emergency or natural disaster, i.e. they have made family plans for an emergency.

Special attention is paid to the formation of the population’s skills and abilities to reduce the adverse impact on health and life of behavioral risk factors in any emergency, SB and COVID-19, by distributing information booklets.
